Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) for Mengkuang Dam Construction

The construction industry is a main contributor to Malaysia's economy and yet some projects are considered being extremely unsafe, unhealthy, exposing lot of hazards risks worksites. Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment Control (HIRARC) process commonly used determine evaluate both existing potential on worksite an effective control action plan reduce the identified hazards. HIRARC risk management fundamental business operation, planning management. This study investigates implementation Management Plan Registered Matrix for project Mengkuang Dam in Malaysia, which involved scopes raising extension dam. Construction dam upgrading expansion was subjected severe factors such as impact dam, schedule delay, exceeding budget contractual dispute. Register based initiated this also implemented during framework identification, assessment, control, mitigating measures discussed further assessments plans. findings have shown that term relative can be reduced by implementing mitigate significantly. applied adopted other provide safety system hazard risks.
